Is it possible to have multitouch on the N110 like on the NC10 to allow for two finger scrolling? I tried to install the driver for the NC10, but I am unsuccessful so far. Any help?
I just picked up an N110 yesterday and tried enabling multi-touch like with an NC10 and it didn’t seem to work. I kept getting an error that says:
“Driver support for multiple fingers is already enabled but the driver still doesn’t report multiple fingers. Either you haven’t restarted the system yet or your TouchPad doesn’t support multiple fingers.”
I just bought the N110 last week. What a nice machine!
I have not been able to get the two finger scroll application to work either. Anyone had luck with this on the N110?
After some searching, it seems that multitouch is not possible on the n110 trackpad. Somewhat of a disappointment.
I don’t really use multitouch though. I wish I could get chiral scrolling working though. I had an nc10 for a while and loved the chiral scrolling action. I’m using the same driver on my n110 as I was on the nc10, but the option is not available. Does anyone have some insight? Even if there was an option to swap out the touchpad for a different model I would consider it.
Welcome to everybody in this thread :
It may be worth searching around the Synaptics website for alternative touchpad drivers, Just a thought.
Hi, the driver is not the issue as verified by several people now.
I found a suitable workaround for myself at least. Under the Synaptics driver properties. Virtual Scrolling – Long distance scrolling. Enable coasting and edge motion while scrolling. It isn’t as great as multi touch or chiral, but at least I don’t have to make constant scrolling motions with my finger now and can avoid rsi.
