Is my n110 dead?

Hi all,

Weird one, this. I’ve had absolutely no issues with my n110 at all, I’ve owned it for about 18 months. Then, as of yesterday, the thing wouldn’t turn on. Press the power button and you get nothing, no life at all.

I’m wondering if it’s just died or if it’s the battery? I’ve tried resetting the BIOS to no avail. My only reason for thinking that it may be the battery is because after taking the power lead out to charge it, the orange power/charging light still remains on at the front, which never normally happens when you unplug the charge lead. Also, sometimes when you plug the charge lead in, you get no lights on at the front at all.

Any ideas what the source of the problem could be? Thank you.

Have you tried it without the battery?
Also a long press and release of the power button.

Thanks, Jeepers. I tried that and it doesn’t seem to work either… just no reaction, nothing. Though the green charge light at the front is still on.

Lysander – It sounds like a hardware issue, probably the motherboard 🙁

Try re-seating the ram module.
Check out the hdd in another pc with a usb hdd lead adapter to make sure it is ok and also to retrieve your data.
