Home › Forums › Samsung Netbook Forums › Samsung N510 Forum › how do i connect my N510 to flatscreen tv
So obviously the simple answer is plug an HDMI cable from the N510 into the HDMI input on the back of my Samsung tellie. However, nothing happens – blank screen. If i unplug it the tv tells me that i have unplugged, but that’s the only acknowledgement the TV makes of the N510.
Hope someone can help – one of the reasons i got the N510 was so that i could hook it up to my tellie – so a bit frustrating!
Cheers
Steve
Once plugged into the HDMI port on the TV and netbook, press fn+F4… that should toggle you.
stevievee – Welcome to the forum
Do as SithTracy suggests but you may also need to select the correct HDMI input on the television if it does not auto sense the input.
Hope this helps
thanks – i’ve already tried the toggle function – used to using projectors with my netbook – but frustratingly that didn’t work. I even tried swearing at it, but it took no heed. There’s also only one HDMI input on the tellie which has me a little flumoxed as to what the issue might be. Are there any settings on the netbook which might cause a glitch?
Thanks
Steve
stevievee – Have you checked the tv input options menu?
Can you test on another tv?
Plugged into my sammy hdtv and set imput on tv to hdmi. n510 desktop appeared immediately on tv no problem.
