Great to be here! Just purchased a N120 and a 2 gig stick, should have it before the end of the week! Then hopefully i’ll have something to talk about lol.
Hi am just new to this site so i have two questions:
First has anyone got linux on a n120 with out partioning.
And second i can’t find a black model available in australia seems to be white only

The N120 is pretty much the same as the NC10 at-least as far as the underlying hardware is concerned so posts regarding Linux on the NC10 should be applicable to the N120.As for installing without a partition it depends what you want to do, you could try using Ubuntu Wubi installer which will install Ubuntu into the Windows partition without damaging the Windows install. On the downside it is know to have a few issues. Another option maybe Cygwin depending on what you want to do.
Really though you would probably be better off installing Linux into it’s own partitions. Why don’t you want to do that?
Thanx for the congrats! It just arrived and i just unpacked it. I’m not sure if i should power it on or read the manuals lol. I’ll mostly be using it for web surfing at awesome sites like Sammy Netbook 🙂 Now for the 1st time i can lay in bed surf the net without having to lug a 7 lb laptop around. Netbooks are so koool, Tomorrow i’ll install a 2 gig stick and delete Macaffee and any other bloat ware i can find. Thanx to all…

If you’re installing the 2 GB RAM chip you may be interested in Jez’s guide to installing your 2GB RAM and laptop mag’s video guide.
And make sure you keep the Samsung supplied RAM – if you subsequently have a problem with your NC20, Samsung customer services will ask you to reinstall the original memory chip.
