MemberGuys
Just signed up to the forum as i think this site will be used lots over the coming weeks/months.
My NC10 should be on my doorstep tomorrow so i am just looking to see what to mess with first !!!
Ordered my 2GB Crucial Ram already (£21)
Looks like i will be uninstalling the Antivirus and finding a new one.
Also want to network it to my home network so i can transfer files.
Try out the Xbox 360 HD drive.
I will keep you posted

[/quote1228210412]My Xbox360 is connected to network already and i can stream Photos films and music quite easy but i have never done it with a laptop.
I am sure i will have plenty of fun.Great site for information, been reading up about Media Players and i see VLC is a popular choice, i am currently using that on my main pc so hopefully i will have no problems here.
I also want to record TV programmes on to my main pc then transfer it to NC10 so my little boy can use it watch his favorite tv programmes when we are on holiday or travelling.

MemberJust a quick update after my first play with the NC10, what a piece of kit…
I have upgraded Ram to 2GB
Deleted McAfee installed new free firewall & Virus
Networked NC10 to my home network so i can now share files from main pc and use the DVD drive in main pc to install applications onto NC10.
Installed TLC for video viewing.Overall impression is fantastic. Very quick to boot and load applications

MemberI thought about transferring all my files from my old Aspire 5633 to my NC10 via wireless networking but it was gonna take ages.
In the end I used a crossover network cable I have and did it that way – much quicker!
Anyway, welcome mate – I am back home in Edinburgh as I just finished working in Bristol yesterday for the last 5 weeks – didn’t see much of it apart from Cabot Circus at night for food :o)
