FYI on Samsung response on Wifi questions.

Took a couple of weeks but did respond.

My Question to them.

“Wireless Driver
Atheros Client Utility
Advanced settings

1)Channel Set :Albania (No US setting?)
2)Available Power Levels for 2.4Ghz shows 100mw selected in pull-down menu but doesn’t give me 100mW for power level.

But Current Power Level shows 40mW

Profile Modify shows 100mW,64mW,50mw,32mw,etc.. 5ghz grayed out and set at 40mw.

Any Help on clearing this up would be greatly appreciated

I apologize for the long delay in a respone. The information was forwarded to our product engineers and I did not receive a reply back from them until today.

The reason channel set is currently showing Albania is because the wireless card receives this information from the access point from the 802.11d wireless standard. In order for this to show the US or another country, you will have to enable the 802.11d standard in the drivers advanced tab, as well has be using an access point that broadcasts an 802.11d signal with the country’s code in it. Many routers and access points do not broadcast this signal, and it is not a very widely used standard. The channel set shows Albania by default as it is the first country in the alphabetical list.

The power level setting is still being investigated by our product engineers and atheros to determine if there is a problem with the power level, a cosmetic problem showing an incorrect number, or some other issue. I will let you know what the outcome is as soon as I receive a response.
