Well the F1 season is about 1/2 of the way through and I have to admit to being a little stunned at the pace of the normal front runners and at just how awesome the Brawns and misters Button & Barrichello have been.
At the moment I can only see Button as the next World Champion, it’s just all falling into place for him. Two different British champs on the bounce, well it’s never happened before, I did wonder what odds the bookies where given Button at the start of the season!
As for Hamilton, I’m not sure, he just looks like he’s not happy within the team, maybe that has something to do with Ron taking a back seat. Either way I don’t see him being there next year. And as for Ferrari, you can sure tell they are missing Todt and Brawn.
Scoreboard is looking nice! And respect to Brawn, I guess he has proved himself now, as if he hadn’t already ;).
Yeah brawn have been fantastic, the cars great, both button and barrichello look very comftable and the teams straregies have been executed flawlessly. Ferrari are starting to show some pace again now (at least in monaco) which is not really surprising and may well lead to some interesting racing ahead. Smart money is of course on jenson. I agree that hamilton does not seem happy and i dont think it’s just the car thats getting to him, seems there is something is going on behind the scene’s, unfortunatly for him im sure his contract will keep him there for a few years yet. I think it’s been one of the best season i’ve seen in a long time. Roll on turkey 🙂
Fair play to Brawn, but whenever I see the Brawn car I just think of Honda money. On the other hand I don’t think the Brawn would be quite so far ahead without that Mercedes engine deal. The Honda engine was pretty limp last year.
I think Button has the car and the experience to do it. I think he will win less and less races as Ferrari get stronger but the points advantage he has will be difficult to overcome. The only other challengers will be Red Bull, Toyota seem to have fallen off a bit. Will Jenson be the last winner of the ‘proper’ F1 Championship this year……?
