MemberHi, I’m new. Hope I put this question in the right place.
I have a Samsung NC10 laptop with a 1.6GHz processor and 1 GB RAM.
I am interested in buying a DVB-T usb stick to be able to watch digital tv here in Paris, France where I live. I read a lot about many different sticks and most have as minimal requirements a 2 GHz cpu. Will my laptop be able to play tv?
I was interested in the following stick:Msi Digi Vox micro HD DVB-T stick. I just want to be able to watch 1 tv channel at a time and be able to turn on subtitles via teletext (so I can follow the french dubbed movies better..).
Can anyone give le advice on which DVB-T stick will work on my laptop and what I should look for? It’s a pity that I can’t see any of these sticks working in a shop.
Thanks.

[/quote1249673061]Hey Bramsel, I have a Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-T, bought from here. It works perfectly connected to my main ariel in the house.
The supplied portable ariel is not strong enough on it’s own and suspect it won’t be in France either. The software is excellent and is not too taxing on the CPU. It can also record in the background. The NC10 makes an excellent little TV recorder in my opinion! Good luck.

Memberthanks for the reply. the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-T does not seem to have teletext however which is vital to me in france since my french is not perfect yet. signal should be ok since I live near the eiffel tower which transmits it. the signal goes through 1 wall right?
