Im amazed at how long Dell desktops take to arrive !
I ordered mine on 7th Jan and the estimated delivery date was set as 29th Jan ! This has now been revised to 5th Feb and it’s still only an ‘estimated’ delivery date.
I feel I got a real bargain so im not too bothered in having to wait, but Im amazed that they are able to fulfill orders from all over the world and get things out of the door on time.
Oh, and if your interested, I got a 2.8Ghz Quad Core, 6Gb Ram, 1Tb Hdd, Win 7 Home Premium 64bit for £390
Ahh well just gonna have to put up with my old Shuttle desktop until Feb.

At that price for that spec, I’d bet they’ve been overrun with orders – think I might order one myself 😉Can you remember what the E-value code was for this desktop, Kirk, or was it in Dell Outlet 😕
The only time I bought one was from PC World so we just took it home with us! Has done a fine job even if it replaced the home built one which kept over heating!

[/quote1264579967]The offer was only valid for 7 days when I ordered it. I have a contact at Dell who I speak to via work and when he looked at tracking the progress for me he reckons Dell are making a loss on the machine !
As an update, I checked the order status last night and it has now shipped so can’t wait to get my hands on it now ! 🙂

I had a similar experience recently. I ordered a pretty high spec Studio XPS 8000 from them with most of the extras fitted on Wednesday 6th January, which had an anticipated delivery date of the 29th.
Well the unit was despatched Friday the 8th and delivered Wednesday 13th, so one week from when I ordered it, which is pretty impressive 🙂
