MemberHow can I check that the NC10 I have is the version with built-in hspda support? Preferably without having to unscrew anything. Thanks

ParticipantTurn the sammy upside down. Look for the two sets of ventilation grilles under the Microsoft Sticker.
Under the left hand grille you will see the reflection of the wireless card. Look through the grill to the right (towards middle of sammy). If you see the printed circuit board ie. no hsdpa card you are out of luck
Also you will have Samsung Mobile Connect software icon on the desktop if you have hsdpaHope this helps

MemberThanks for this. Looks like I haven’t received the hspda version advertised. Have to get in-touch with customer service.

[/quote1245243000]I have just received my NC10 HSPDA unit.
I looked thru the grille and see a card of sorts – not sure if it’s the HSPDA card.
Also, I do not see “Samsung Mobile Connect software icon” but do see the Samsung COnnection Manager icon – is this same one you are referring to?

It will be the Samsung hsdpa card you can see through the grille
The Connection Manager you see is the same as the one I was refering to in my earlier postYou will need to get a 3G mobile sim card – I use one from an O2 payg usb stick modem but you can buy the sim only on ebay which is a cheaper solution or use the iPhone payg sim
If you need help with the Connection Manager profile settings for the sim you choose, just ask. I have working payg settings to hand for O2, Vodafone and Three if you need them
Hope this helps

The HSDPA unit should have two cards, one under each grill. Here’s a picture of my NC10 from another post, the grill with the ring around it and the fairly obvious card is for the WiFi card. The grill to the right on mine is empty and is where the HSDPA card would be if I had one.

Yes the sim card reader is behind the battery on hsdpa models – see pictures hereOur other NC10 (non HSDPA) does have the slot cut out though
