Just bought a N210 which I am very pleased with. However I do not like Windows 7 (starter). Rather than pay the money to update to Premium, I have a copy of Windows XP Professional which I would like to install. Are there any reasons why I should not?

I can’t think of a reason that you should not change OS, other than lack of support in the future. I am wondering what you don’t like about Win 7 though.
Going back to XP is the dark ages ! But if you must then why not do a dual boot/install then you can have both.
Does the XP MS Lic not just apply to the first PC it’s installed on ? Others on here will know I am sure.
I have Starter on netbook and Home Premium on Desktop. Starter seems fine to me.
I have to agree with Fergiet that you should run both. There is the anytime upgrade that you can buy at walmart for 80 dollars to get you windows 7 Home Premium. I did the upgrade and it took about 20 min with a backup to an external hdd. I like how windows 7 home runs off 1gb of ram. With a little tweaking the little thing runs really freaking good too.
