MemberOK, so COD-MW2 is not going to run on a netbook – although maybe on the N510? But anyone else got or getting it? I feel a victim of hype here and am finding it hard to resist ordering it lol. For my desktop PC obviously ;)!

MemberNah, too busy playing Dragon Age: Origins. :)
(FWIW, I’m just not into FPS games anymore. I’ll pop into Unreal Tournament or UT2004 once in a while with my buddies and play against the bots, but that’s about the extent of it.)

MemberAhhhh UT has been given new life with netbooks being so common. Me and my friends play it often now. ANd then some starcraft, RA2 or Quake 3. I actually play a lot of games on my Sammy.
As for Modern Warfare 2 I will check that out on my brothers X-Box.

How often are you up at 3 AM? :)November 16, 2009 at 7:00 pm #205583neo
MemberTo be honest i wouldn’t bother with the pc versionYET, i wasn’t going to get it and sometimes i wish i hadn’t.
there are NO dedicated servers (already knew this before my purchase but thought i’d at least try it) just uses ‘listen servers’ (P2P ??) like the consoles, so the max teams are 9 v 9 but mostly 6 v 6 sometimes even less.
if players drop out of the game there’s no way to swap teams or auto balance, seen it quite a few times it goes 6 v 6 then 6 v 3 then 6 v 1 where’s the fun in the that.
some of the maps are way to large and you spend most of the time trying to find someone to shoot at.
you just join a ‘lobby’ then get thrown in with random players, no picking of map or even which team to join it’s all done for you !!!!
the lag is unbelievable at times, the match making should give all players a decent ping but how can it when there’s players from japan, Romania, iceland, portual, USA and England all in the same GAME !!!!!!
the single player mode is painfully short, can be easily down in well under 4 hrs.
the list goes on and on loads more fed up people here – http://www.infinityward.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=24
some can’t even install the game as the second 2 disc is faulty in a few batches

MemberI have the PS3 version and like it (I’m a bit of a COD fangirl though), not sure…..think I liked MW1 best though, anyway on PS3 it working ok, although not always connecting up…bit of a wait….plays ok online when in game. Like the new weapons (machine pistols as secondary much better).
