MemberHi Guys,
Wonder if you could give some advice re a black screen straight from power-on. Only got Sammy N210 yesterday and after the hours of updating etc etc thought I’d look at the HyperSpace Instant-on thing. Got it connected to my Wi-fi and did a bit of surfing and again, allowed it to do it’s updates etc. Thought I’d see how quickly it booted up so switched off through the HypeSpace thing, system shut-down fine. Following power-up I get a black screen with flashing cursor at top left, then a back screen with no HyperSpace, no Windows??? After a forced power-off and a break for a couple of mins I powered-on again and managed to press F4 from the the Sammy loading screen. Tried a complete system restore, which seemed to go to completion and offered me the re-boot option. But upon re-boot I get the black screen again. I guess the HyoerSpace Instant-on isn’t booting up, but I’m not a PC-wizz and I’m at a complete loss as to what to do next.
As it’s only 1 day old, would you recommend I pack it up and ship back to the online store as “faulty”???
Be gently with me re suggestions, please, I can use a PC, but not that fimiliarwith the technical stuff. Thanks in advance.

MemberI am experiencing exactly the same kind of problem with a N220, a few weeks older than your netbook. Any solution?

MemberI’ve returned mine and I’m still waiting for their assessment/replacement to arrive. A few of the guys in work think the hyperspace software may be trying to boot from the wrong partition and suggested I try getting usb boot software to at least get into lunix and reset the boot addresses. I didn’t want to start messing about with this, to be honest I’m not even sure if I’ve relayed what the tech’s at work said accurately. Maybe someone on the forum can help fill in the details for you.

MemberI too am having the same issue. Following the hyperspace update at the weekend, its rendered my Netbook useless. I’ve tried the F4 Samsung Recovery -basic and full restores but it just does not seem to work. I even have saved the original samsung recovery files away. Is there a way to get the Windows starter 7 software out of these and create an ISO file so I can at least start again? Or is there another option?

MemberChris_T… your solution worked like a charm. thanks my brother.
The important thing would be to determine what’s causing this in the first place.

MemberDid anyone find out what caused this as it happened to my N210. It also happened after playing about with Hyperspace.

MemberI had the problem tonight with my N150. After two weeks of setting it up exactly the way I want it, I decided to try Hyperspace. Black screen, flashing cursor, unhappiness. Thanks to those who found the solution and publicised it.
