The battery on my daughters N110 is now flat, it appears the battery has never been charging. I checked the bios for any battery enabling setting but to no avail. I also thought I would try updating the bios but it says no battery recognized or battery power is less than 30% (you cannot update the bios without a battery plugged in?). I appear to be well and truly snookered. I have checked all connections and they look good and secure, the battery is firmly in place.
This problem does appear to have started after we got the netbook back from Samsung after a repair. Does anyone have any ideas?

mattyj – It does sound as though the battery or charging circuit is faulty.
If it has just come back from repair then it may be best to inform Samsung.

The netbook is back, the battery has been replaced with all checks passed ok? I am currently looking at the charge on the battery using batterybar and it is a constant 26%.
How long should I need to leave it switched off to see an increase in charge, as I am not convinced the problem has been resolved.

I would leave it overnight, if there is no increase then contact Samsung once again.
P.S. You have checked the AC socket that it is plugged in to, I presume?
It is plugged in ! But thanks anyway. Samsung Digicare escalation team are due to call me for the second time since I have purchased the netbook in Nov. It should take 5 working days for them to contact me, tomorrow is the 5th !!, if I don’t include the working day that I raised the call on (complete and utter joke!)
