Asus EEEThis one is my favorite:
“Don’t forget one of the advantages Eee pc users have is the fan base with sites such as this one with tonnes of info and help and a community. I can’t seem to find any decent forums for the Samsung NC10 yet, and I don’t think it will have as huge a following as it is so late into the market. Asus has the Eee brand well established and Samsung has a lot of catching up to do. For example I have seen hardly any promo material on the net or tv for the NC10 yet. I remember when the Acer Aspire One and MSI Wind came out there was a lot promotion.â€
I will quickly point out that someone else posted a response that included the link to this forum!

It was me.
Fame at last.
limesmoothMemberI find Corsair Flash Voyagers fast and durable.

http://www.be-ez.com/ has a 10.2″ netbook model in the catalogue but I haven’t been able to find any shop that actually sells it. If anybody noticed it anywhere, please point a finger. I have the 9″ model and it is very sturdy but unfortunately NC10 obviously won’t fit it.
[/quote1229176149]Is it this one? I’ve asked Santa for it, so I hope it fits….
Amazon[MOD EDIT] Link broken, now fixed. 🙂 ~Becky

I just ordered this one. It was a bit expensive, but I think these Golla bags look nicer than most of the laptop cases, and it’s a Finnish brand, so I bought the thing anyway. The only(?) problem is that the bag is actually designed for 13″ laptops, so it might be too big for my NC10. Well, if it doesn’t seem to work with my new toy, I’ll just return it (the bag, not Sammy :D).
[/quote1228675618]That’s a good one. Saw it when I bought the Tech Air – its roomy but not massive, so you should get the NC10 in and have room for other essentials. Golla’s cases and bags are good quality, in my experience.

We are currently trialling Zimbra at my work which is an email/PIM combo and I have to say I’m impressed with it so far.
limesmoothMemberIts a screensaver with sound, AFAIK.
limesmoothMemberErrrr, actually I’ve got some of those as well, which I use with iphone and main PC. Just bought cheap ones to throw in my work bag and then I don’t care if they get wrecked. I’m a bit paranoid about my decent headphones getting knackered. The sound is on the logiks is fine and far better than the NC10’s speakers (sadly).
I’ve just remembered I’ve got some bluetooth headphones with a back band, as well…..I may have too many pairs of headphones.
limesmoothMemberYes, thanks Jez – was posting quickly so didn’t notice that.
limesmoothMemberI’ve bought the Tech Air as it was down to £14.50 ish in Currys (they wanted £21 on Thursday!). Its well constructed and you can get a few other bits in it, charger, network cable, USB drive, my wireless mouse. Tried to squeeze 2 textbooks in as well but that was pushing it a bit 🙂
limesmoothMemberWelcome to the forum and enjoy the NC10 – you’re in good company.
limesmoothMemberI’ve got Chrome on all my machines – I was devoted to Opera before but Chrome is so speedy and the ability to search in the address bar is a great feature. The 9 most visited sites feature was something I was used to from Opera but Chrome also keeps a decent record of your browsing history and bookmarks in the same page.
Not had any compatibility problems at all.
System resources – it opens each tab as a separate process so it is easy to kill non-responsive pages without losing everything else. This does not hog resources at all.
I imagine you’ll find it makes web browsing a much happier experience. I’ve got Firefox on my work desktop and I am finding that I am getting non-responsive pages more frequently.
limesmoothMemberHow is Livi this evening? Its not bluetooth, no that’s a bit confusing, I assumed it would be too. It has a standard USB connector which snaps into the base of the mouse when not in use. Not had any probs so far with it, much better than other wireless opticals I have used.
limesmoothMemberAsus have lost the plot a bit with the endless models/variants of eee PCs now. The original 701 was great and cheap. The 901/1000 models are rightly very popular in the sub £300 netbook category. But £500 for a netbook in the current economic climate is just crazy. Less than £300, and most people think ‘Why not?’…at £500 most people will consider what else they can buy for that kind of money. Have Asus begun to think they are Apple, with a host of fans just waiting to buy the next model?
limesmoothMemberHP seem to have rushed to announce the follow up and a cheaper Compaq branded version is due to ship this month. I toyed with buying one based on looks, but the VIA processor and Vista combination was not good. Also the screen was lacking. Beautifully designed though, and a great keyboard.
limesmoothMemberHope you all get yours delivered soon, they are worth the wait.
