Tried downloading Driver again. When I unzip I get files which won’t execute, but ask what to open with. The only one that looks relevent is an “Application Extension” file.
Sorry, haven’t been on forum recently (btw, can I set up automatic notification of replies? – can’t find).
Yes, I have tried many things but still have not been successful. I have a Marvell Yukon 88E8040 PCI-E (according to Samsung Support – what a c**p support set up they have on official site) but cannot get it to ‘work’. No drivers on the Samsung site so tried others to no avail.
Just upgraded from XP to Vista; dual boot means two feet covered to me:-) Cannot get internet connection in either OS; neither via wireless or LAN. I seem to need a LAN driver, but cannot see which adaptor is installed and so cannot download one.
Is there a standard driver to do the job?
Interested to hear how you sort the Ethernet problem. I have installed Vista Ultimate 32bit but Ethernet driver absent. Cn’t get online so a bit stuffed.
Workgroup Name is now correct. Still not connecting.
Seem to be missing Ethernet Controller driver. Device Manager doesn’t give make/name of the controller
Am trying to connect to an office LAN via the installed Marvell Yukon 88E8040 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller. It says it is Connected but after ten minutes it has recieved no packets and sent three.
Ah ha! DNS Resolver Cache flushed!
WIll try other steps now.
Hi Matt_tee and jeepers01.
Presume I run the DNS flush in DOS when I turn the NC-10 on?
I cannot get a command prompt. I press F8 before Windows starts and get options, none of which lets me type in the C: ….. command.
Also tried while in Windows via StartAll ProgramsAccessoriesCommand Prompt, but this already has a c: command on screen and won’t let me enter a clean c: command.
