Just thinking for when this trial of Win7 expires in August about reinstalling XP Home back onto my netbook, but I was wondering about making an NLite-d version of XP with the latest .Net and latest service pack.
Just how small could I make the install disc? I got a spare 256Mb USB stick – but that might be pushing it as I just checked the XP Home cd that came with the NC10 and the cd itself is 600-odd mb – and that’s not including the drivers/software disc.
Let’s just say I was going to try and make an XP install that was as lightning quick as possible, and use as little memory when installed as possible to make the absolute most out of the system.
smallest I’ve seen which is still use able app wise is about 500mb
My personal nLite’d XP SP3 ISO is 185mb,
