I have two nc10’s and one of them hangs for quite a while after mup.sys has been loaded is there anyway to find out what is causing this I cant seem to find any bootlogs
I have uploaded my bootlog here http://www.brownwater.co.uk/index.php?action=downloads;sa=downfile;id=3
Thanks in advance
The bootlog in safemode displays this

“”””January 9, 2009 at 2:14 pm #179168PanManMemberhmm seems to be a common(ish) issue
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=Mup.sys&meta=January 9, 2009 at 2:18 pm #179170Reign-MackMemberyeah I have tried to google it I thougt there maybe something (a device) specific to the sammy that somebody else has had?
Its not mup its one of the devices afterwards that is slowing things down during boot
January 9, 2009 at 2:24 pm #179169PanManMemberCouple of quickies you could try. Make sure no USB devices are connected at Boot, take the ram out and reseat it
January 9, 2009 at 2:56 pm #179171Reign-MackMemberI dont use any external usb devices and have just tried reseating the ram its made no difference. Im still searching this forum to see if anybody else had a similar problem
January 9, 2009 at 3:32 pm #179172Reign-MackMemberthis person seems to have had the same issue as me

does anyone else have the problem where the xp bootscreen is a jerky fade in at the start with no hdd activity for about 5 seconds? really annoys me and can’t seem to figure it out. my nc10 is pretty much standard. bootvis didn’t point out anything obvious either!
[/quote1231515056]January 9, 2009 at 6:29 pm #179173Reign-MackMemberok I have solved this problem it was a driver called sptd.sys which comes with Deamon Tools, even though I ran unistall a while back the driver and keys were still left behind. This has shaved 10 sconds off my boot up time.
