When turning on computer the wireless automatically turns on at startup. I then turn wireless off manually as I’m conneted by wire 90% of time. Is there a way to set wireless so that it turns on only when I want it to and not automatically on at startup. I assume wireless uses more battery power when on than off. Any comments appreciated.
Use the BIOS Luke
yep – bios will disable wireless, but you’d obviously have to reboot into bios to enable it for your 10% useage.
Maybe yo can disable the device via Control Panel
disable the wireless in the bios as previously said then when you need it back on just press the Fn+F9 keys when you’ve booted back into windows 🙂
i asked the same question before.
