For those of you who saw my introduction post, you’ll know I wasn’t supposed to get one until Christmas. The funny thing is, my hubby is now rather keen on it too, so we’ve decided to treat it as a joint pressie and bought one early. Though I’m sure my incessant nattering about it helped a bit too. 😀
Anyway, hubby intended to buy online and had a pre-order with Play but decided to nip down to our local PC World just in case they had one. They didn’t have stock of any colour (even the display model had been sold) but Currys next door had two blues!
Currys in-store are selling it for £330, but they price-matched to the web price. Plus they applied the reduced VAT bringing it down to £292.49 in total.
So if anyone is in the Ipswich area and wants a blue, Currys (Copdock Interchange) still have one left at time of posting. 🙂
I’m just charging the unit now, but will upload some photos ASAP. If anyone has questions about the blue, feel free to ask away. 🙂

^^ pics pls!
November 25, 2008 at 4:45 pm #171344BeckyMemberOK, here’s a few pics. I didn’t take lots of close-ups of the ports or anything, I mainly wanted to show off the colour. I’ve added them to the SammyNetbook group as well.
I’m posting resized pics directly here, but have included a link to a higher res (1280×960) one under each pic.
Please note that the colour isn’t very well-represented under indoor lighting. I’ve angled the shots as best I can to show off the truest colour possible. Best results would be seen in natural sunlight. 🙂
First up, a shot of the NC10 from the rear. Please note that the graininess isn’t my camera, the lid itself has a glittery effect:

Second is a shot of the front:

Third photo is the NC10 on my desk, lid lowered to cast some light on the keyboard area:

And finally, another shot of the lid:

November 25, 2008 at 5:35 pm #171339fatnbaldMemberWhy to they stick stickers all over things like laptops and camcorders, especially when they do not come off freely without leaving the sticky behind!!!
November 25, 2008 at 6:44 pm #171361kitsterMemberOh dear, looks like I will be here all day deciding which colour to pick after seeing those images of yours becky. Thanks :s

November 25, 2008 at 7:36 pm #171345BeckyMemberGlad you like the pics folks, though I apologise for making anybody regret what they’ve already bought. 😀
November 25, 2008 at 7:51 pm #171354ezmanMemberthat is damn nice, right, need to exchange my noisy black one for a quiet blue one maybe??? 🙂
November 25, 2008 at 8:05 pm #171352hefMemberi nicked into currys tonight to buy some dvds and they had all three out on display.
all of them look awesome. the blue one looks a lighter blue in real life than it shows up in any of the pics ive seen. it’s nice but i’m not sure about it. still think i’ll go with black.
i finally see the beef with the touchpad. i assume it was so bad due to default settings sucking, but jesus it’s pretty bad.November 25, 2008 at 9:26 pm #171364s162000MemberGot my NC10 from Currys too, I usually don’t touch the place as they are rippoff merchants but they seem to be the only high street shop stocking them at the moment. I got the black one.
November 25, 2008 at 9:28 pm #171350limesmoothMemberAaargh! Am now doubting whether or not to get white. The blue looks really smart. Quick, someone post some pics of a white one 🙂

[/quote1227648652]serious hef, for me i thought it was bad when i used it in the shops but once you change the settings it’s no problem at all.
