Been waiting a couple of weeks for my black NC10from Dixons..although just checked DHL it’s arrived in the local Depot!!! So I’m hoping tomorrow or Tues, mainly got one due to the great reviews and the positive comments on this site, only recently bought a advent 4211 around 4 weeks ago, managed to sell that to my mate for a good price this weekend, so hoping it’s all worth it in the end!!

I have just ordered a sammy nc10 for my daughters Christmas. She recently started college and it should be perfect. I had a good read around this site before I placed my order so thanks to all for the information.. Initially I was going for the Acer one but reckon the screensize of the Sammy gives it the edge. Even though this is for my daughter I am actually excited to have a go on it myself. If I am allowed of course

Here I am replying to my own post like a total n00b. I just got my Sammy today, and though I got off to a rough start (I had wireless trouble–search the forum and you’ll find a few others who had similar problems), a helpful post in this very forum seems to have finally patched up things.
My first impressions? This thing is imminently usable, despite all the naysayers who criticize the nebook. Oh, and the screen is bloody BRIGHT! I’ve got it on setting “3” right now; at “8” people might be able to see it from space! I suppose that would be good for extremely bright surroundings, but for normal use it’s overkill.
That’s all, just an update. With all the people still waiting on these NC10s, I’ll be astounded if it doesn’t turn out to be one of the most successful netbook models of the year.
yeah it can be pretty bright can’t it! Thankfully it’s easy to push up and down!
There is a poll somewhere around where people have voted on their settings, I think most agree that lower is easier on the eyes!
I ordered from Dixons last Thurs eve before they put the price up on Fri 😉
Just checked on delivery and it seems it is on the DHL van on it’s way !!!! I bet i will be the last drop 🙁

I had a dream about getting mine last night – how sad is that??? Although i dreamt they sent me a black one instead of a white one… weird. You know its important when you dream about it eh?! lol
Oh and i ordered at about 1am on Friday before the prices went up as well. So fast delivery.
Yes! Finally! Mine has arrived (ordered last Monday) I am now looking forward to unpacking it and getting it up and running!!
