Dropped mine for the first time this morning! Was rushing to get on the forum before I left for work LOL
Luckily it was on the carpet but it was from a fair height.Who has insurance on their Sammy?
At £300 I’m prepared to take the risk on myself. That said, if anything did happen to it, I would surely cry.
That was actually one of the reasons I never bought a full on £1000 laptop. I’d be too scared to take it out any where!
No accidental drops yet, touch wood. I’ve intentionally dropped it down onto the sofa from time to time. But that’s soft ;)!
Some home contents insurance policies will cover this kind of thing. Probably worth giving them a call if you’re worried about it.
I had a great situation where my cat jumped onto the kitchen side (bad kitty) then looked at the laptop and batted the screen, it fell off the kitchen side (I was using it for a recipe) and rebounded off a ceramic cat-food bowl onto a laminate floor.
The confused horror at what the cat had done, combined with the earth shattering crash, meant I nearly did a little poop in my trunks, but not one single scratch on my laptop, amazing.
Cats are arseholes.

Yep there are loads of sites that will stream recipe videos to your laptop as you cook, eg http://www.foodtv.co.uk/
