MemberSO which colour, I think I’ve already dismissed Blue to be honest as it really isnt, me… *raises eyebrow.
White I think is probably chic, but is black a fingerprint magnet?

MemberThe black that I saw in PC World did have a LOT of fingerprints, but that’s going to be because every Tom, Dick and Harry is picking it up and playing with it. The lady next to me was even trying to shove it into a netbook bag she was thinking of buying…
I might be wrong, but I think if you’re a bit careful and give it a bit of a wipe every now and then, it won’t be TOO bad.
Personally, I’m going with black because I think it looks a lot nicer and I like the gloss effect. White is nice too, but it may go a dirty white colour over time, like most white products do.

MemberBlack does pick up finger prints – no doubt about it. I couldn’t care less tbh but it will depend how fussy you are about that kind of thing. My Mrs moaned about it the other day.
I do like the look of the black though, so apart from the above I think it’s a good choice 🙂

MemberPosted in a similar thread – the blue Fn alternative selections on black keys can only be read clearly in good light. Maybe the white although not so stylish is easier to read?

MemberI find that my white Sammy’s keyboard is very easy to read in low light situations.

MemberMy Sammy hasn’t arrived yet, but I chose white specifically in the hope of better keyboard readability. I am waiting for cataract surgery and am having problems with black keyboards in low light conditions
(That is also one of the reasons for choosing the NC10 – the reports of screen clarity and brightness was a deal breaker. Hope it works out… 🙂December 12, 2008 at 1:43 am #174455TC
MemberI hemmed and hawed at great length over whether to get white or blue. Ended up going for so-called white, and am very happy with the color.
One reason I’m happy is that it’s definitely not white. It’s what I think is often called eggshell, or perhaps cream. Not high gloss, either, which is nice.

MemberHi ! I’m new to the forum, I’m on the verge of purchasing a Netbook but I’m stuck between the ASUS Eee PC 1002HA and the White Samsung NC10.
The one thing that is preventing me from making a choice between the two is that I’m worried the NC10 will show dust and dirt easily because it’s white. I’m also very worried about the NC10’s keyboard as well, it’s white as well ! That’s why I’m looking at the 1002HA.
Can any owners of the white NC10 shed some light on this ?

MemberI’m a bit of OCD and had been wiping my Asus EEE 1000H Ebony (since sold) regularly because of fingerprint. Even bought a clear customized plastic cover but that makes it even heavier. So I pick the white NC10 to avoid the same problem.

MemberI have the blue and just gave it a quick wipe down for the first time with a bit of glass cleaner. the top (back of the screen) is a gloss metallic blue that appears almost to be covered it a totally smooth clear acrylic surface. the rest of the notebook is a matte metallic blue. Neither top or the rest of it shows any fingerprints from clean hands (i just tried it), though eating cookies etc and grabbing the NC10 leaves a finger print on the top but have not had any problems on the rest of the unit…. Not sure if the White and Black are the same.
