Hi. I just bought an NC10 and was wondering what the best way to check for the dreaded screen splodges. Only had it about a day and it looks fine so far, but there is a best way of checking it? With a certain colour or at a certain angle?
Thanks!
Mine doesn’t seem to have them, but the images of them I have seen have been on a white background, so I used that to test mine out. From what I hear if you have it, it is pretty obvious though, so hopefully if you don’t notice it right off the bat you are ok!

Try opening Start>All Programs>Accessories>Notepad. This will give you a white screen which is supposedly the best way to check. Look at the screen, especially in the lower half between keys F3 and F7. If you can’t see any blotches there, you should be OK. I think some NC10s are worse than others. Luckily, my Sammy is free of them!!! Checkout the General Discussion thread on Screen Blotches for more info.
Good Luck
