What did you do when you first got your NC10?
How do you properly charge your battery? I heard that if you do not charge completely the first time, your battery will only be limited up to how much you initially charged it at?
What are nonessential “garbage” bundled in the NC10 that you can get rid of?
First thing I did was uninstall the anti-virus trial and download AVGfree.
I don’t believe that modern batteries suffer from ‘the memory effect’, it only took a couple of hours to fully charge the NC10 battery.
Have to agree with Billy – not much to do at all other than change the AV to something free !
I plugged it in and waited for the light to turn green (only 30 minutes) and then I booted up and uninstalled that garbage McAfee and installed NOD32.
I started by doing a fresh nLite install of Windows XP Pro with a slipstreamed SP3 and then installed by programs of choice e.g. Dreamweaver, Photoshop, AVG, Comodo Firewall etc.
Regarding the initial battery charging, I waited until the NC10 shut off at about 3% and then charged it until it said 100%. I was meaning to charge when it had reached 10%, however, I was enjoying myself too much with my new toy at the time.
