Okay, after a similar thread was locked, I want to know how much video RAM others are seeing on their NC10?
Running on normal profile on battery with 2GB RAM, Windows is reporting 128MB video RAM. Is everyone else seeing the same or have you a different value for this?
I’ve got 2Gb ram, and the system is reporting 128Mb on the graphics card
Guess we need a 1gig owner to see what theres goes up to
my brand new 1Gb says max graphics memory 128 MB ram. maybe it can be set up on the bios.
yeah, i think you will be able to customize the share since it is actually system ram.
Im not sure but i think its adaptive, i.e a max allowance is made (128) but if you say are using just desktop it may only allocate 8mb for example and adds to it depending on what application is running
If they decide to up the video ram it will be done with a BIOS update, just like what happened with the MSI Wind.
This link explains how the video memory works

There are 4 options though dynamic and fixed being the main two, im not sure which way samsung has implemented but on my previous samsung laptop they used dynamic allocation, the top rate is fixed by bios and driver, so an update as mention could probably increase this amount (user selectable) if samsung think there is a need for it
Cool, I’m not fussed for an upgrade – no real need for 1024×600 res, more just curious about it.
Yeah im sure this will be done in future bios updates,How is the first bios?Buggy or anything?
Nope first bios is pretty damn stable in fact
No probs here with it!
Excellent thanks both,Might mean they’ll take their time bringing out another 🙁
But atleast until then we’re happy
Must be honest, I haven’t had a single operation issue with the NC10. 🙂
hmm, hopefully the bios update will give us an option to lock the graphics on 128mb as i’d like to know when i test games that it is running to the best that it can
Edit:i assumed the silent mode would use 8mb,normal would be 64mb and 128mb for speed
