Hi all,
I bought the NC10 with the idea of recording my keyboard using the mixcraft software and a USB-midi interface cable (bought here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110318397483) Supposedly the cable is a plug and play one with no software/drivers installation necessary. However when running mixcraft, it does not seem to detect any midi input. It does not appear as a recognised audio input in control panel sound devices either.
I was wondering whether any of the tweaks (which I carried out) mentioned in this post (http://www.sammymobile.com/plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?5465) might have had an effect on this?
Otherwise I guess it is either a problem with the cable or the config on my keyboard.
When you plugged the cable in the first time did it install it as a new device and say “Your now hardware is now ready to use”?
Is it listed in device manager?
If other devices work in your USB ports then it is unlikely that the problem is with the NC10 or any of the tweaks you made.

I just purchased a N145 Plus netbook & on installing my USB midi interface, the netbook saw it as a new sound device, installed a USB midi driver & said it was ready to use. On going to sound devices to select it for output, it doesn’t appear even though it appears in my system device list & say’s everything’s working fine. I have no idea why this is. Could it be a limitation of Windows7 Starter?
