i seem to have random standby on my nc10, i have it turned off on the samsung manager, but about one time in ten it will go into standby when i close the lid, all the other times it stays on, i need it to stay on as i use a big 42″ hdtv when using nc10 at home, and i like to protect screen from dust or damage. so as i say most of the times it works but sometime it will go into standby when closing lid, how do i turn this off?
maybe the one time in ten is the time when you are running the NC on battery instead of AC?
If this is the case than you might be able to change some settings in the Windows Power Management.
I’m just guessing… never had this kind of problem before.
Go to Control Panel
Power Options
Advanced Tab
Make sure “When I close the lid of my portable computer” is set to “Do nothing”.
ok have set the control panel now. i always use it on mains power supply at home, considering i had it turned on in windows it turns out that 9 times out of 10 the lid closing standby function doesnt work when you have a monitor connected to the nc10, lol.
