Due to an illness a few months back, I’ve had to patiently (hah!) wait until I paid off some medical bills to purchase the NC10! That day is tomorrow. I will receive the monies from my tax return, and use a portion of it to purchase the NC10. Under my circumstances, I’ve hit the jackpot this month. By Thursday I will have my paycheck, my Pell Grant, my tax return, and veteran’s benefits all hit in the same week. This will have to be that last major purchase I make this year. I plan on saving $10,000 by year’s end. I’m in college, but thankfully get paid to go (not through parents, or college loans.)
I really need to make sure I get the right price. Until I had this medical snag, I had been debt free for nearly two years. Completely debt free. By the end of this week I will be able to say I am once again. My surplus will hopefully make it’s way into my Savings account.
Please advise on which site to purchase a black NC10 in the US. I know of jr’s deal, but wanted to hear any other deal’s going around.
Thanks in Advance.

I’ve always been a saver too, except whilst at University but once you graduate, and you get that first job, clearing those debts can be done pretty quickly with some determination.
Best deals? I’m sure some US buyers will help out, I recall some rebate deal through live.com? The where to buy page here has some standard deals but prob won’t help you squeeze the last dollars out of the purchase I’m afraid!
Good luck 🙂

When you do a search on live.com use Samsung netbook (doesn’t seem to recognize Samsung NC10) See links: http://search.live.com/cashback/products/offerings/4003/16247904

Amazon (US) prices have been fluctuating – currently US$444.95 (from Amazon stock, Monday 2 Feb eve) for white (which I just got last week and really like a lot – paid US$449). Be careful — Amazon can change the provider to a non-Amazon source – check the page carefully before ordering.
HTH,
– DonFebruary 3, 2009 at 11:28 am #182219OdublarMemberThanks to everyone who just posted. I went with J&R and ordered next day air. I got it all for under $500. I’ll be receiving the NC10, case logic case (until I find a better one), and the upgraded ram hopefully tomorrow, or the next day. Where I live it’s kinda hit or miss. I made sure to order it early (5am) so that it has the best chance of getting here tomorrow. Hopefully I will come back to a nice gift.
Anyways, I have loads of stuff I want to put on it. Will let you know how ‘Rosetta Stone’ works.
