MemberWhere has your Sammy been on hoiliday? I’m taking mine to Menorca in August. Will I be able to access WIFI anywhere other than hotels?
Where else has Sammy been on holiday?

MemberCheck out the coffee shops like Starbucks, etc.
In Singapore wifi is free in Starbucks but they make you jump through so many hoops to register before you can log-on. Walk around the other coffee shops and if you see people with laptops open, there is free wifi. Other coffee shops do not require you to register, just to buy a cup of coffee.
Changi Airport has the best facility for internet – there are two free terminals inside your departure gate. You can check your mail/surf the net before you board the plane. 🙂
At KLCC there is also free wifi in some of the coffee shops. In here Starbucks does not require you to register.
You also get free wifi at KLIA on the international departures. Go to where the free internet terminals are – there is a sitting area next to it and you can log-on with your Sammy from there.

MemberLol so far mine has been to Amsterdam, Brussels and Switzerland.
In the next 2 weeks it will be going to Rome, then back to BENELUX then to Stockholm and Copenhagen, Singapoore and Dubai.
All in the next 3 months!
JOY!!
The main reason I bought it is because I travel so much!

MemberI cannot find any Starbucks in Minorca. Are there any other coffee shops with wifi there? We are not staying in a hotel but going over for a wedding and staying with some friends of friends who we don’t really know. The flights are such that we’ll be there for a week! Without a pool etc… the Sammy might be something to pass the time till the cooler evenings when we can go exploring.

Membertook mine to cyprus, was excellent, never had any trouble connecting to any wifi network (either in the UK or abroad). amazing to have an nc10 – i stocked up on iplayer content and pineapple express(!!!) and i didn’t need to worry about the battery on the flight at all!

MemberMine is going to Hong Kong in May, then on a cruise ship. Like Matt Jessop, the main use will be to back up photos and of course view / edit them on a decent sized screen. I’m hoping to be able to use WiFi hotspots as well to send e-mails and just browse.

[/quote1232322389]Sounds lovely! There sure are gonna be some well travelled Sammys. Who’s gonna take some pictures of their Sammys on holiday? One in front of the Tower Of Pisa maybe?
