MemberAssuming The Hut falls into line regards the 2.5% VAT reduction on Monday (or before) Then this might be one of the best deals yet ! Please tell me if I’m wrong, maths isn’t my forte
Black / White £289.93 less 2.13% Tax = £283.75 less 5% Quidco = £269.56

MemberAnd if you don’t like faffing with Quidco then give [red=thehutnc10]my Hut link[/red] a go!
Of course if you want that extra 5% then you can get to quidco here – bah: http://www.quidco.com/the-hut/
Good spot Baz I’ll add that on my buyin’ page next time I update it.

MemberThe price seems interesting, however availability spoils the feeling that price has set 😉
Has anyone any experience with The Hut and what exactly does “Available on order” mean in terms of delivery time?November 26, 2008 at 8:14 am #171420hef

[/quote1227689576]I had never even heard of them to be honest. And when I was looking last night all of their picture links seemed broken. Not an overly great first impression but maybe the are having a few teething probs. Happens to us all.

MemberI think I would rather have peace of mind by shopping at Dixons or an established and well known company. I have never heard of the hut and none of the search engines threw up this name when I looked for NC10 retailers recently. In ny case, I have just looked at the hut and the blue version is 299 now.

[/quote1227691266]My experience with The Hut has always been very good, with the demise of HD earlier in the year I purchased lots of HD DVDs from them with out any probs. (good email updates, well packaged) However I wasn’t actually aware they sold AV equipment. If anyones serious regards placing an order, it might be worth calling them first ref delivery, I think there based in Cheshire.

[/quote1227691959]Some stores seem to be adding a premium on the Blue, however I did only post £269.56 for the black or white, the blue was always £299.00.

MemberI bought mine from curry’s and have it covered with insurance. £4.99 a month for repair/replacement. Worth it imo because i use mine for uni and travel on the train. For theft i use the house insurance 😀

MemberInsurance is one of those things that we’ll all have our own opinion on. No one can really dictate the risk profile of another person.
I for example am happy to carry the risk myself, but if it is a critical item for you and you can’t otherwise afford to replace it then you’ll be thankful that you have it!
Here’s hoping nothing bad happens to anyone’s little Sammy!

MemberI ordered a Blue one from theHut when there was a 10% discount code about, came back at £263 delivered! without Quidco. I initially asked a question on availability as none was stated. Once I placed an order, delivery date is expected as 18/12/08. This is without a possible reduction of 2.5% on VAT on the pre discounted price.TheHut I have used many times for DVD/games, same group of operators as ASDA Entertainment/Lovefilm etc. Been good in my opinion, but never previously ordered a netbook from them!

MemberA similar story at most places – NC10s going up most places – Dixons still £299 and in stock – plus some voucher codes to bring it down a bit!
Look at The HUt I couldn’t actually see the NC10s….weird
