<<(1-800-726-7864) Then buttons 1, 5, 2 to speak with a real live human.>>
to ask when the NC10 would be in stores in the U.S. Nice friendly fellow said that it’s scheduled to ship to stores “early next…”
and I expected to hear “week” or “month”.
Nope. Next year. And he hadn’t been informed of what “early” meant, said it could mean later than January. He didn’t know why such a delay, and he was surprised to hear that it was in stores in GB while held back here.
He promised to forward my whining about the delay to people higher up the Samsung ladder. If anyone in the U.S. (I didn’t have the sense to ask about Canada) wants to join in the chorus demanding to actually lay eyes and hands on the machine before buying, give’em a call! Perhaps point out that they’re going to miss a lot of holiday gift sales by not having it visible and touchable in stores. May not do any good at all, but can’t do any harm.

MemberOuch, must be so much getting sold in europe that they are struggling to keep the market stocked here and building up stocks for the u.d market..?
On the other hand it does make a change for America getting everything a month or 2 before europe does 😛
Good luck, and i hope you get them to bring them in soon!

[/quote1227766646]It was at the J and R store in NY last week, but was sold out right away. J and R said they would have stock by next week. Not next year.

MemberWhat is the situation like getting them online? I had a look at amazon.com and they do seem to be in stock.
There are some direct links on the where to buy page.
I’ll add all this feed back on to that page – admittedly it is a bit UK centered right now so any US feed back greatly appreciated so I can make it a little better!

[/quote1227800064]Thanks for the info. Makes sense: with their ‘net presence, J&R can get supply intended for etailers; then, with just one retail location, easily pull some out and put them on the sales floor. Unfortunately for my getting hands and eyes on one, I’m situated far from NY.
Interesting that their website reports white as “temporarily out of stock”, but the blue is said to be “coming soon.” Along with the stories of out of stock elsewhere, and now even raising prices, it does look as though supply is inadequate. Seems that there’s no way they could stock the large U.S. chains at present.

MemberLet’s face netbooks have been sold in europe much more than in other part of the world, I heard something like 70% of the total sales in netbooks.
ASUS actually released the last 2 models (netbooks) in Europe instead than in America. So do you think that the marking teamn in Samsung are going to be stupid? Of course NOT.
THe main netbook market is in Europe (at the moment) so they released the product here first and they will try to cope with the huge demand here……here it is where they are making their $$$$$…….or should I say £££££ and €€€€€€? 🙂November 28, 2008 at 12:29 am #171757denniszen

i saw the white model at the store before it got sold out but didn’t like the white, so i didn’t buy it. it got sold out in one day. the day i went there they only had the white, not the blue one, which is why it says in the site, coming soon.
