You’ll need to be in one of the countries where free Spotify is available, unless someone’s found a way around it. According to the FAQ that’s Sweden, Norway, Finland, the UK, France and Spain.
Spotify is the best music software i have ever tryed , its so good i am concidering paying for a Premium account.
Itunes, etc better watch out, or copy spotify.Also i found some web pages with play list for spotify

Only solution i found is to make an exeption in the AVG resident shield settings.Another Spotify fan here, I just hope it can keep going as it is. Has made my hifi and CD’s redundant and I never thought I would say that!
Spotify is awesome and I’ve read recently it may be soon coming to devices such as xbox and ps3!

Just got into Spotify, wow, simply awesome. I just signed up, no need for an invite, maybe its open registration now?

Not for USA tho yet due to licensing issues. And guess it will be a awhile unless the Big record companies play bad ass or something and keep us from getting it.
