Any using speed fan to look at their internal temperatues?
I’ve noticed my HD0, Core 0 and Core 1 temperatures seem to fluctuate normally, but I’ve noticed the “temp1” is always stuck on 54C. I was wondering if anyone else noticed the same thing. Possibly speed fan is reading something incorrectly, the “temp1” isn’t used or possibly a sensor on my NC10 isn’t working correctly.
Anyone have any ideas?
Ran it just to see what mine were. Same as you, except 51C. Its the ACPI temperature (whatever that means…). Like your results, the rest of mine fluctuate.
My hdd (WD Scorpio 320gb) gets up to 39C when busy but usually around 33C. Core 0 and 1 from low 20’s to high 30’s. As i’m typing this Temp1 is at 41C, the rest are 25C and the NC10 doesn’t feel warm so I wonder what it is. Can anybody shed any light on this?
It may be the temperature of the Intel 945 system chipset, I would expect it to to run hotter than the CPU.
Does it change at all if you play a 3D game?
I’m reading it as ACPI TZ00 and it sits at 44°C, going to see if it changes.
EDIT: Well it went up to 49°C when I ran a 3D test for a while. Still not 100% sure what it is though.
Its the chipset. And the temp is higher because the chipset is a 10w chipset (so more heat) and the cpu is max 2w.
