I love my NC10…and I don’t like glossy screens…but I would love the extra battery life!
It seems like the higher capacity battery should fit the old NC10’s anyway, should be able to get hold of them at some point. Best of both worlds then.
I saw on the thread regarding 9-cell batteries that you can get up to 12 hours charge. Imagine an optimised 9-cell battery was released by Samsung, like they’re doing with the 6-cell battery, for the NC10. 15 hours could be possible?
I find that battery life is important for me now more than ever, as I bring my NC10 to work on the odd occasion and find the long battery life a blessing, but in the back of my mind I sometimes think “but imagine how long you could get with the 9-cell!” I know, I know, be happy with what you’ve got, but the 9-cell is very inticing.
wondering if the 9 cell battery is very bulky looking like the one sold on ebay. If not, I might be interested in picking one up……..But then again, it might cost about $100 or more to get it and it defeats the purpose of getting an affordable netbook in the first place since the battery cost added on top of the nc10 would go over $500+.
But, 12+ hr sounds like a killer!
I have to confess that I’ll be waiting for my stock battery to not hold enough charge for a day’s work before I’ll be buying another battery.
If they release the better 6 cell by itself I’ll probably buy it just to buy it.
Larger trackpad doesn’t matter to me, the NC10’s is fine. If I need it for something other than basic tasks I’d use a mouse anyway.
Im with Berfles, I’d be happy to buy the extended 6 cell, which would make a great primary battery, the original I could stick in my bag for looong trips. Im off to Cuba from the UK in less than a month but i doubt they’ll be available my then.
