MemberSounds like the “Karaoke” function in your Realtek sound options is enabled.
Check your System settings -> Sounds & Multimedia -> Realtek
(I’m not on my NC10 right now, can someone else point him to the exact location please?)

MemberMaybe its the Samsung EDS then? Doubleclick the little Speaker Icon right next to your clock (not the windows speaker icon) to bring up Samsung EDS.
Try to disable it and ceck the sound again.

MemberOk, the sound is very odd through both speakers and headphones. It sounds very base, and the samsung thing is off, I followed that guide on how to make the boot faster and so it doesn’t load.
The EQ is off, I cannot work out why they sound is so wrong?
Edit: Installed win7 and sound is fine so its a software issue, might have to reinstall xp : (

MemberProblem solved !
For anyone looking at this in the future, the karaoke thing can be turned off, but the number next to it has to be set to ZERO still…..
