MemberYeah, I’m using Bricopack. I decided it wasn’t really worth upgrading to Vista, even though I have ugraded to 2Gb of RAM.

MemberA ‘minimalist’ approach for me. I often access programs via keyboard with 2 keystrokes, so no RocketDock needed. My theme is called “Play”, can’t remember where I found it from.

this is the theme: GraphiteD
[/quote1231688514]How can I set this theme?
[/quote1231713179]If you haven’t already done so, you’ll need to run the uxtheme patch which allows you to install 3rd-party themes on XP:
http://www.withinwindows.com/uxtheme-patches/
Last one on the list should do the trick (for XP SP3 RC2)
When you’ve run that, install the theme and it should be available along with the default themes in Display Properties. 🙂

Can someone explain how i run the patch? The download is a .dll file.
I’m new to XP having just bought a NC10 yesterday. Have been using Macs for the past 10 years!

[/quote1233574458]The F1 car is from the rocket dock website. Even if you dont use Rocket dock you can still extract the wallpaper from the zipped file.
Get it here: http://rocketdock.com/addon/skins/10769

Here’s what mine looks like. The image is from digitalblasphemy.com; I reduced a 1920×1200 to 1024×640 and cropped it down to 600. (I have a bunch of 1920×1200 images from my previous laptop.)Usually I have things auto-hiding on 3 of the 4 sides: bottom is the taskbar, right is a docked toolbar, and top is Winamp.

MemberI posted this last year on page 3, but I didn’t know how to correctly show the image, so here it is again in all its 450px glory. It’s Rocketdock with no desktop items and an auto-hidden taskbar.

MemberHere’s mine – it’s Linux Mint (duh! ;)) with main panel moved to top to make way for Avant Window Navigator at the bottom. I mainly just use AWN as a task manager rather than for launching things (prefer to just have my main programs in the main panel quick-launch-style). I usually have AWN auto-hiding too but kept it visible for the purposes of the screenshot.

Memberwindows vista ultimate.
Sidebar looks a little messy but overall I like the clean look after I deleted icons I don’t use much and moving icons to the rocketdock.I’ve beem using objectdock for about an year and I switch to the rocketdock because the response time after click seems to be a lot faster on rocketdock than objectdock. The memory usage of the rocketdock was alittle higher, but not by much.
