i’ve got the Vista driver for the webcam installed properly in Win7, but can’t find an app to let me turn it on and off. any ideas on where i go from here?
EDIT: Seriously? No one using Windows 7 is using their webcam?
well what do you need a program for?
surely people only use webcam with things like skype and msn, which turn the webcam on and off for u?
any photosoftware will also capture from it…. so i dont really know why you need any software?Download the play camera software from samsung for XP, works for me in win 7.

It gives me an error and crashes. I tried running it in compatibility mode, with no luck. I installed ManyCam in the mean time though, and that allows me to take pictures.
please- can you point me to the driver? I downloaded the XP driver off’s Sammy’s site and it doesn’t cork. The cam is not even detected. Both Yahoo messenger and the play camera software both say I don’t have a cam on this computer. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
Windows 7 has always successfully installed driver for webcam by itself. You do not need to do anything special.
I’ve used MSN and Skype and not had any problems just like others have said, I’m not 100% sure but I think the drivers for the webcam were installed when I installed Windows 7. The only program I have installed for the webcam now is Play_Camera_2.0.0.15 which I’m sure is a Vista version I got from the Samsung website.
