Anyone got one, recommend one?
Ideally like my HP pocket hard drive it would be powered entirely by USB so no brick
Don’t care if it doesn’t write, a reader only would be fine

The enclosure was $17: http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=BLK-USBEXT-NBCDCADDY&cat=CAS You can get a notebook DVD burner there for $40, bringing to under $60 before shipping.
The Blu Ray drive, I got for free by “ordering the wrong drive” from HP for one of my notebooks while I was working at Circuit City. Good thing too, as it would have been $300 or so. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827118009
I doubt that the NC10 will actually handle Blu Ray videos, but I use it with my quad core desktop as well to actually play Blu Ray on my 37″ monitor.

Someone here said they had used one of these with their NC10
[/quote1227692840]I got a similar one from PC World for program installation when the NC10 arrives. It looks the same sizewise but its black and has a different model number – LG GP08.
It has the option to plug a mains transformer in but it is not supplied in the box.

The black one is similar but has Lightscribe. It was me that recommended the white one. Works fine with just one USB connection. Quiet as well.Martin

Having now received my NC10 I have been using the black LG GP08 (from PC World) all afternoon and its worked flawlessly.

December 18, 2008 at 1:11 pm #171332vanessa197676MemberI also bought the Lg GSA-E50L Slim Drive from geeks.com.
I’m scheduled to get it on Monday, but with all this snow, I’m worried it won’t be until after Christmas. 🙁
