Just wondering…
I wouldnt expect anymore than dreadful performance, but you might be able to at least walk about and chat.
Has anyone actually tried using Second Life on their NC10? What were the results?
Well, having now got my sammy I can now answer my own question !
I have installed Second Life on the NC10 and tried it (bearing in mind that mine has the upgraded 2Gb of RAM).
As one might imagine it is just about passable during off peak times on Second Life and in locations where the buildings and other objects are not numerous (which requires much more processing power to rezz everything). You can certainly walk about – albeit a little jerkily – and communicate through local chat or IM with your friends and others (though it might appear a little slow sometimes). But that’s about it really.
So, yes possible if you are really desperate to talk with someone but otherwise not the best or most engaging experience. Still, not what the Sammy was meant for so hats off to the NC10 that it copes at all in my view !
