So very tempted to buy the NC-10, but it doesn’t seem to be in actual brick’n’mortar stores in the U.S. yet. I’m reluctant to shell out for what I haven’t actually seen, due mainly to one concern.
I often have to work outdoors — and in Arizona and Mexico, at that, i.e. bright light. Not actually in direct sun, but even in shaded areas, the light is usually bright. Mainly in word processor mode, but even just that can hard on the eyes.
Can anyone report how much the NC-10’s image is bleached out (or not) outdoors?
I have used it outside in the UK, unfortunately the weather is rather different here and on a dull autumn day the bright screen really helped and it was great to use.
No idea what it’s like in the sun though! Hopefully someone from a less rainy part of the world can offer their opinion.
One reason I am not buying a HP Mini 1000 is that it has a glossy screen, which is like using a mirror for your screen. From everything I have read the NC10 screen is very bright, but, like you, I have not seen one in person.
