[/quote1229884281]The whole idea behind screen protectors is that they keep your screen clean and scratch-free while you USE your computer. You can’t very well use a laptop with it closed.

MemberI have used literally hundreds of laptops over the years, not one has had any screen damage or scratch.
Your money, waste it on what ever you like….

MemberI bought a screen protector once through ebay for my Asus EEE 1000H (since sold). It was very difficult to put on without bubbles which just ruin the look of the screen.
If you’re looking for a cheap one (about $5), head to dealextreme.com and look up screen protector Asus EEE 1000H (I believe the screen size is the same).

MemberSo has anyone actually tried applying a good screen protector on top of a touchscreen?

MemberI ordered the Exim screen protector off of ebay. It literally took 4 weeks to get here. It was TERRIBLY difficult to apply. I MEAN ONE HELL OF A TIME. I still do not have all of the bubbles out (like 3 of those suckers left…). However, it gives a completely glossy screen which…I guess adds a little something. I’m ok w/ it now, but when I was installing it, I was pissed. Terrible installation…decent effect.

MemberWhy would you want to stick something to your screen and ruin it with some type of glue!?!
check this one out, its sticks to screen like cling film, no glue, works well, can take it off and clean it then reapply

[/quote1238341163]How do you even manage to scratch / soil your computer while you’re USING it?
Did i missed a secret feature on the NC10 that requires me to scratch the display with a greasy wooden spoon???
I dont think that a protector is required from the Age of 12 on & up.

MemberOh, are we supposed to take that shiny plastic ‘screen’ off? I thought it was the ‘new’ shiny screen we hear complaints about.

Memberi use the “shiny display protector” from samsung too, to protect my touchscreen. i use a cutter to adjust the plastic folie to my display. 2min work. so there are no scratches on screen.

MemberI’m with you Thomasn – I still have the original film on the screen and on the cover (I’d heard the n110 is a fingerprint magnet so I left it on for now)
