Since I got my computer back from the screen blotch repair i have a new problem. But since I also installed Windows 7 as well, not sure if I screwed up a setting or what is going on. But about every 3 minutes or so, my screen goes almost completely dark and the ONLY way to bring it back is for me to hit the CONTROL or ESCAPE key. Moving the mouse has no effect. Anyone have any idea what stupid mistake I may be making? Thanks,
Mike
Have you looked at settings within win 7 to see what actions should be taken after a couple of minutes of inactivity? Maybe the screen setting is set to go to black?
Thanks but that & my power setting were my 1st checks. Even weirder, it just started today. All was fine last night. AND, it happens even while I am busy typing! GRRR……
DISREGARD….. Went back to XP=no more problems with screen, with sound, or with mouse “creeping”. Man I do hate XP though after all I had that worked so well in W7. Bummer!
Meaning win 7 killed the screen from time to time?
Yes. As described above. Sound was weirded out as well. Mouse erratic as well. Lots of little bugs.
i had similar problems, uninstalling the samsung battery manager worked for me under windows 7
