I’ve read the manual and scan through Samsung website but have not found the answer to the following questions regarding the Samsung Recovery Solution:
1.) I’ve created the initial backup (hidden partition) and 2nd complete backup on D:. If I want to create a 3rd complete backup on D:, does it override the 2nd complete backup?
2.) When creating a backup, Samsung has a Restore Point linking to that backup. Is there a way to delete (or clean the history) the restore point in case I deleted the the backup that goes with that particular restore point.
3.) Will uninstalling the Samsung Recovery Solution erase the restore point of a complete backup or the initial install?
Anyone who knows please advise.

[/quote1230305154]If you create a 3rd backup, it shouldn’t overwrite the other backups.
If you delete on of the old backups, I don’t know of a way to delete it out of the Samsung software. I think it actually stores that info on the hidden partition. I actually deleted the initial restore point but not the partition as well as a sample backup that I made, and it still thought both were there. SO, not sure how to clean that up.
You CAN remove the software without affecting the recovery partition or any backups you have. It will leave those alone. Without the software installed, you can still access the F11 version of getting to the recovery partition.

Actually, (in reference to 1) I wanted to know whether there is an option to either override the 2nd backup with the 3rd backup or create two separate backups. Also, (in reference to 3) I wanted to find out whether removing then reinstalling Samsung Recovery Solution will delete the restore point histories of multiple backups that have been subsequently deleted so its not all cluttered up.
I think I’m asking too much for what is essentially a free software.

” 1. Any subsequent backups on the D: will be overwritten. At any time there can only be one complete backup from the D:.
2. The restore point will delete from the list when the related WCL file is deleted from the SamsungRecovery folder on the D:.
3. Uninstalling Samsung Recovery Solution will not delete any restore points and will leave the recovery partition intact, as well.”
