November 19, 2008 at 9:41 am #169690ashesfallMemberI just found another great review from a large publication, PC Advisor 🙂 Jez feel free to move this post to General Discussion if you like, it feels kind of lonely in the news section 🙂
November 20, 2008 at 12:28 pm #169687jezMemberI’ll leave it here for the min – with 200 views it’s a popular post!
November 20, 2008 at 10:18 pm #169691BeckyMemberTrusted Reviews have just released The Ultimate Netbook Buyer’s Guide. Though it details 11 netbooks in total, the NC10 is one of them and wins the recommendation for “Day-to-Day Notebook Replacement”:

Apologies if this isn’t the right place to post this. 🙂
November 21, 2008 at 8:10 am #169688jezMemberyay the NC10 wins again! Nice find! I might stick that on the front page!
November 22, 2008 at 10:37 am #169698rnambaMemberFor anyone who may still be undecided (or just wants validation that they made the right choice!), LAPTOP Magazine just did a head-to-head of 10″ netbooks.
The verdict?
“Of these five netbooks, the Samsung NC10 came out on top in six categories–Design, Screen, Keyboard, Trackpad, Battery, Value–and got decent scores in every other area, earning its place as the best 10-inch netbook we’ve seen so far.”

Well, I read it and don’t share his issues, the mouse button just isn’t a problem for me, but horse for courses – he wants a two button mouse 🙂
November 25, 2008 at 5:25 pm #169689jezMemberhe can always plug in a mouse!

One thing he says against the NC10 is that the indicator lights aren’t as visible as those on the MSI by being right on the front.Looking at mine however, there is a visible slant making the lights perfectly easy to see from above. Can’t understand what his problem is there…..
November 25, 2008 at 6:06 pm #169695NcssryEvlMemberI can’t say I share his problems. Only LED indicator light issue I have is that the green battery charged button looks more off-white than green, thanks to the overpowering blue LEDs that surround it.
Sure, I’d like a 2 button mouse, and it is small, but it’s quite usable. I’d have preferred to see a Trackpoint to a touchpad though. But, on high sensitivity, I’m able to navigate just fine. I’ve never accidentally right clicked instead of left clicked, and the mouse buttons are CERTAINLY better than the EEE 701 had. Now that was a crappy mouse.
November 28, 2008 at 6:41 pm #169696walpurgisMemberThe NC10 converts a netbook sceptic:
http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2008/11/26/samsung-nc10/1December 2, 2008 at 10:23 pm #169693BeckyMemberTimes Online awards the NC10 “Best For Battery Life”.
December 2, 2008 at 10:27 pm #169699SquonkMemberI’ll be typing one up soon on my own blog. Right now it’s far too early, given I’ve had my Sammy now for a little more than a day. I don’t want to get caught up in the “new product rush.”
