MemberSo, I found this mouse while surfing Amazon. I haven’t seen it on this forum so I hope it isn’t old news to you guys.

l] Samsung SM30 (Duplus)[/url]I really like its unique design, It’s very minimalistic and portable, and It’ll match my white NC10 to boot. Plus, It’s wireless and rechargeable. score.
Oh, and it has a cheaper, smaller and wired little sibling:

MemberWrReIaTdE…. nice find… If you can live with a black one, it will only set you back 34.13, instead of 59.99 for the white one… anyway, here’s a better look at the black and white ones…..

MemberAh, if only it were Bluetooth so I didn’t have to use a dongle.

MemberGood to see that the mouse was at Amazon.com and the price was in dollars – $59.99. I thought it was a bit expensive! If you go to Amazon.co.uk it comes up as £29.90 Look here.

ParticipantI’m pretty sure that’s a trackball mouse, which is fine if you like that type.
I can see it being quite useful for presentations, being a wireless trackball with a laser pointer.I know what it reminds me of… an Apple Remote.

MemberI don’t think it’s a trackball mouse. The ball in the center is only a button; it doesn’t roll. I’ve seen videos on youtube (search samsung mouse) showing both the UM 10 and the SM30 being dragged like any other mouse. I like that the scroll wheel allows for horizontal and vertical scrolling, but most importantly: I like that there are 5 hidden buttons on the face of the mouse, one of which serves as an alt-tab function. I’m unsure if the buttons are programmable though.
Take a look:

ParticipantAh yes you can see the optical sensor on the bottom in one of the Youtube videos. I wonder how comfortable it is to use though.
How does the horizontal scrolling work though, the scroll wheel only appears to rotate clockwise or anticlockwise.

MemberGood point Alfihar. If a page allows for both horizontal and vertical scrolling, how will the wheel function?

MemberI have the samsung mouse, I saw it and I couldn’t resist to buy it 😀
it’s actually very comfortable, easy to use and complete. You have 5 buttons, the wheel and it’s really light and small, simply perfect for our nc10.
I bought it for 22€ instead of 45 because it was on sale

ParticipantI think it only has vertical scrolling, in the Youtube video with the Asus Eee PC where it scrolls horizontally through files I think is just vertical scrolling mapped to scroll horizontally.

MemberGood to hear Drom! I have already ordered it and it should be arriving shortly after my NC10 Dec. 30.

MemberI picked up a white Microsoft Notebook Bluetooth mouse 5000 for $29.99 at Circuit City, it was on sale. It’s a perfect match for a white Sammy. I just hope the battery life won’t be affected much when running bluetooth.

MemberHa I just got the same mouse from circuit city.. can’t complain about the price. though I am betting Circuit City closes up shop all together in the new year.

MemberThis is the bluetooth mouse I bought from Amazon. I did a lot of research on it, and this is truly the best mouse I have ever owned. It is compact, has a nice little silky bag, has incredibly smooth tracking. Of course, being bluetooth, there is no need for a dongle! I got the white one because it was less expensive, but it comes in other colors. Great mouse for a reasonable price…and those are my two cents. 🙂
