Just pulled the Sammy out of my laptop bag, only to discover one of the legs of the “U” in the stick-on logo has come off, and what’s more it has scratched the shiny black lid!
Anyone else have a problem with this? Should I send it back?
I’d try sending that back or off for repair. The logo peeling off the outside definately isn’t acceptable when it’s only a few months old!
Well, I could take it back to Currys… but I am NOT letting the so-called “Tech” Guys get their grubby mittens on it!
Hope you manage to get it sorted – I work for Currys unfortunatly and you dont really have any choice but for them to send it off to repair – there is no way they will swap it straight over for you. Good luck!
The logo is a sticker? That itself sounds odd, I’ve never seen a laptop with a sticker for a logo. It’s usually “painted” on.
Weird.
Its chrome though isnt it – and it sticks out a fair bit – it doesnt sound right though…
The logo appears to be raised metalic effect lettering – obviously just glued on!
I’ve read that Lenovo Ideapad s10 has the same peeling logo problem, didn’t expect it from Samsung.
I put a big sticker over mine as soon as I took the protective films off. A big round Dunk Nukem sticker 😉
Mines already half off – it now reads S MSUN
how does it look underneath the letters? is the casing indented to fit the silver stickers or are they just stickers on top of the gloss finish (i.e. could you peel them off manually with out a trace of them ever being there?)
I left the protective plastic sheet on my computer. I’m not taking it off until I buy a cover schticker….I wonder if that would pull the letters off too? But at that point I won’t care I suppose
I put a sticker on mine….As a fellow resident of Massachusetts; you might appreciate it, Monkeyking…

It’s the same finish as the rest of the cover, no indentation. So if they all fall off (and I might have to help them along a bit) it will look OK – except I rather liked the logo, it was pretty classy.
Glad to hear it’s the same finish. I’d almost be tempted to remove it…but if it ever starts coming off, I’ll have no worries about removing it.
