Hi guys, im kinda new here.. Anyways, my problem is that after uninstalling a couple of applications from my nc10, SABI.dll cannot be found. A program called Keyset.exe from the MagicKBD program uses it and now every time I start up my machine, I get an error. I’ve tried reinstalling the MagicKBD program with no luck. Is there any chance someone could try and find it on their system and upload it? To be honest, im not sure how any other program could even have removed it…
P.s. It is not to be mistaken for SABI2.dll
Thanks for any help!
December 29, 2008 at 9:40 pm #177902jezMemberIt might be worth asking Samsung support about that and maybe they have it with something else on their site? If that file is under copyright obviously I can’t condone sharing it although I’m sure someone might stumble across it somewhere on the net!
December 29, 2008 at 9:45 pm #177903BeckyMemberI’ve just had a look for this and can’t find it anywhere on my system. I have Magic Keyboard running with no problems – are you sure that’s the app which requires it?
I did a quick google search which confirms the dll is part of Samsung software, but isn’t specific to Magic Keyboard. It could be another piece of Samsung software which you’ve uninstalled which is causing this problem.
Could you post the full error message you’re getting on startup and let us know what apps you uninstalled if you can remember?

[/quote1230589352]I’ve seen a topic on the eepcnews.de
http://forum.eeepcnews.de/viewtopic.php?f=57&p=44977It’s in German. So one writes there that he has already asked Samsung and they replied that it is not possible to change Fn- combinations. They do not explain though why do they deliver keyset.exe which definitely does not work 🙂
December 29, 2008 at 11:35 pm #177905PanManMembermake a copy of the sabl2.dll and rename it sabl.dll (in the same directory/ probs system32)
December 30, 2008 at 4:44 pm #177908BlueboyMemberI would try unregistering this dll file. Assuming your are running XP:
Open a DOS window by entering cmd in the RUN box
Then enter: regsvr32 /u sabi.dllDecember 30, 2008 at 4:59 pm #177906dingdongMember[quote1230655560=Becky]

One of the programs I installed and uninstalled was Dreamscapes, cant remember the other. And the program that required it was Keyset.exe which is in the MagicKBD directory, try running it yourself and see if you get the error.

Thanks, I found that page after posting and it does seem to stop the error from occuring.. weird how it started happening in the first place. Maybe its a Vista centric problem.[quote1230656419=Blueboy]

[/quote1230656419]Should have mentioned that im running vista 😉 And the problem isn’t that the dll isn’t registered, its that it didn’t exist!
Oh well, thanks guys.

[/quote1230660511]I just ran the keyset.exe file and got the same error message. Oddly enough, the Magic Keyboard program runs on startup and I’ve never experienced this error before. In which case, I have no idea what keyset.exe actually does as it seems I’ve never had a need for it.
If it’s still occurring, perhaps remove keyset.exe from startup and see if it has any effect on system functionality.
December 30, 2008 at 6:36 pm #177909BlueboyMemberDD,
I would still run the regsvr32 command because by running this you are tell Windows that this dll file is no longer required and to stop looking for it. I have used this before for situations like yours and have had about a 50% success rate.
I just checked and the command is the same for XP and Vista.December 30, 2008 at 9:30 pm #177907dingdongMemberThe module “sabi.dll” failed to load.
I’m thus guessing it was never registered in the first place. But the problem seems fixed now anyway thank you.
