i second that, if all the media didn’t keep hyping it up all the time and people just spent as normal we might not be in such a big a mess as we are now 🙁
but you see the problem with people spending normally is the small fact that a lot of it is on credit,
The entire economy is built on debt.
guess there is that but isn’t all the world the same.
(sorry if rambling had a few after work shandies lol )

drunken ramblings are the best kind 🙂
IMHO opinion most adults who get themselves into debt have noone else to blame other than themselves BUT for the last few years banks and building societies have gone out of their way to entice people into debt. Offers of pre approved credit cards in the post, interest free periods, balance transfers and amazing amounts available for mortgages compared to annual income.
People are only human and these offers were almost too good to be true and now the banks, building societiies and the people affected are all paying for it.
Mortages are now harder to find at a good price and for me personally I get no mail offering me pre approved credit cards.
I am currently in the position of having no mortgage or debt and a a large brand new house. However, I also have no income so in these bleak times I will soon to be reentering the job market, albeit in a part time capacity. My previous salary (4 years ago) was was around £40K net, yet to fit in with my children (the reason I left my job), who previously lived with my exwife I envisage working in a supermarket or the local B&Q. Neither of whom are recruiting at the moment!
