I just got my NC10 yesterday but i haven’t purchased RAM to upgrade it yet. I was just curious what brand people were using. I know that everyone has their favorite brand of memory. Just wanted to see if people were happy or if something didn’t work with a particular module. Thanks!
People using ddr2 667 or ddr2 800? is there any noticible heat increase in the nc10?
No – or at least not that my knees have noticed 😉

Nothing noticable. I used Crucial RAM for my upgrade.
“Transcend” and “I’ve had it since day one so I wouldn’t know if there was a heat increase.”
In recent years I’ve bought RAM from a variety of brands with no real problems, so there’s no brand loyalty being applied in my choice here. A decent price and good ratings are all I look for nowadays.
I used G.Skill. It’s always treated my desktops well.
I bought a 2GB Kingston module for my NC10. I would have bought Corsair, but nowhere had it stock and for a reasonable price.
I ordered from crucial and got whatever their guaranteed compatible 2G stick was. Seems to be working fine, though I haven’t run any tests.
